Daily Log January 4, 2012

Who was on site
Larry, Roy, Emily and Vince.

What Happened
The underlay plywood was installed in 517 for the linoleum and now 519. More trim went on and more paint was splashed around. Emily did some great clean up, which was overdue from the holiday work done.

What next
The doors are still unaccounted for as we are waiting on a price from Simcoe Block still.
The HRV units will be delivered this week the flooring guy is planned for first thing next week.

Still Needed
The closet shelves may be covered in the Home Depot grant, awesome, the attic access holes need to be finished. With any luck we should hear from Simcoe Block about our door order Thursday. We also need to get toilets and bath room sinks. We are shopping for best price on a new trimming mitre saw.

Many people have come together to keep this project moving forward, many thanks to you all.  Some more people in the finish carpentry area would be helpful.

Further down the road
The Kitchens will be checked on as they are in full swing Bathroom vanities are complete and ready. The doors are being ordered and jambs for closets p/u. The kitchen guys are going to install the counter tops upon arrival. HRV units should be in this week.

All tools required are on site.  Permission granted for the pin nailers thank you  A new saw may arrive soon  The great guys at the kitchen shop are going to rip our window returns for us on their big table saw. Thank you.

Food and Drink
As per schedule.
Many thanx to our food teams, especially to Mary Grey of Gravenhurst who continues to go beyond all expectations.

We will be requesting our occupancy permits in the next two weeks or so. Finals will not be until spring, as the gas trenches were just done preChristmas, which meant we could not finish our final driveway grading.

My thoughts
A huge thank you to all of you for your continued dedication to this worthy project.
Thank you: Darren from Muskoka Exteriors, Greensides, thanx for the light,  Muskoka air for the ducting. Thank you Muskoka Cabinets for the use of your table saw. A new year is upon us and I trust everyone had a safe and festive holiday. We are in the home stretch now.
