Daily Log November 30, 2011

Who was on site
Larry, Doug and Vince (Project Manager, reporting)

What Happened
A snow storm happened, Doug and I discussed finishing and hanging doors, and who we could get for those jobs.

What next
Full on Mudding and Taping should be complete early next week and off to priming.
We now have the siding on site, trims and corners can get started.

Still Needed
The primer through Home Depot was picked up on Friday for Jesse and Mike to work on Saturday.

Volunteers
Many people have come together to keep this project moving forward, many thanks to you all.  Some more expertise would be helpful with the taping and mudding of the drywall. With some luck we will have Jesse back for extreme taping and mudding.

Further down the road
The siding team will get started with trims and moldings.
The flooring is on site and anxiously awaiting the painting to be done.

Materials/Tools
The drywall lift for ceilings has been returned. All tools required are on site.

Food and Drink
As per drywall schedule.
Many thanx to our food teams, especially to Mary Grey of Gravenhurst who continues to go beyond all expectations.

Inspections
We are all up to date.

My thoughts
Thank you to all who helped to complete the boarding. We are well on our way through the mudding and taping process, though some professional help would be great. I truly appreciate the honesty of our regular volunteers for admitting their limitations on drywall mudding and taping. A huge thank you to all of you for your continued dedication to this worthy project

Who was on site
Larry, Fred, Doug, Emily and Vince (Project Manager; reporting)
Jesse appeared in the afternoon to check our progress, as well big John stopped in to say hi.

What Happened
The drywall taping has stalled out as our volunteers have reached the limit of their skill set and admirably admitted by them. With today’s inspection of the taping by two different professionals, we have concluded we need professional help to complete the taping and mudding. This will give us a finish product we can all be proud of and happy to paint.

What next
Full on Mudding and Taping should be complete early next week and off to priming.
The siding shipment has been a little slow in arriving, due to the company’s volume of  sales this season. We now have the basics of siding on site, trims and corners can get started and we have our pals from beaver creek lined up to do some siding on Friday.

Still Needed
