Daily Log December 16, 2011


Who was on site
Larry, Doug, Peter, Rick, Henry, Roy, Marina and Vince

What Happened 
The siding team is nearly finished, The laminate floor in 519 is done The colours are going on in 517 (two coats now). A gentleman named Dave stopped by yesterday to start next week hanging doors They started painting the trim for 517. Basement bedroom floor base started in 517.

What next
Start painting the trim for 517. The colours can continue in 517.
Window returns and door frames on site shortly baseboard now on site.   Window return plywood will be ripped at Muskoka Custom Cabinets.  THANK YOU
The Home Depot community grant program is supplying our complete door knobs inside and out. THANK YOU Chris (Team Depot Member/volunteer on our site).

Still Needed
The Finish paint is ordered for 517 (now on site).  The window returns material and trim will be brought on site.  The door jambs will be picked up and doors ordered or p/u.

Volunteers
Many people have come together to keep this project moving forward, many thanks to you all.  Some more people in the finish carpentry area would be helpful.

Further down the road
The Kitchens will be checked on as they are in full swing Bathroom vanities are complete and ready The doors are being ordered and jambs for closets p/u.

Materials/Tools
All tools required are on site.  Permission to use pin/finish nailer’s for the trim, as the MDF material which the trim is made of does not hand nail worth a darn.  The guys who have expressed an interest in doing the finishing have extensive experience in using nailers instead of hammer for speed and quality  A new saw may arrive soon  The great guys at the kitchen shop are going to rip our window returns for us on their big table saw.
