Daily Log December 12, 2011

Who was on site

Larry, Doug,  Jesse, Mike, Ken, Chris,  Emily and Vince (Project Manager –reporting).

What Happened
The siding team is nearly finished Paint colours are near complete for first two coats (519) racks made by Larry in the basement for trim to dry on Ken started first coating the trim.  The floor in 519 is nearly  prepped for the flooring. Rarely stated, but much running around by Vincent.
This has got to be tough work!

What next
Full on Mudding and Taping should be complete late this week and off to priming.

We now have casing on site window returns and door frames on site shortly baseboard now on site.  The flooring should get started in 519 Monday or Tuesday.

Still Needed
The Finish paint is ordered for 517 (now ordered for Monday).  The window returns material and trim will be brought on site  The door jambs will be picked up next week and doors ordered or picked up.

Many people have come together to keep this project moving forward, many thanks to you all.  Some more people in the finish carpentry area would be helpful.

Further down the road
The Kitchens will be checked on as they are in full swing Bathroom vanities are complete and readyThe flooring is on site and anxiously awaiting the painting to be done.  Doors will be ordered and Frame (jamb) material picked up.

The drywall lift for ceilings has been returned. All tools required are on site  WE REALLY NEED TO CONSIDER A NEW MITRE SAW FOR THE TRIM and permission to use pin/finish nailer’s for the trim, as the MDF material which the trim is made of does not hand nail worth a darn and the guys who have expressed an interest in doing the finishing want to use nailers instead of hammer for speed and quality. A new saw may arrive soon.

Food and Drink
As per schedule
Many thanx to our food teams, especially to Mary Grey of Gravenhurst who continues to go beyond all expectations.

We are all up to date.
