Insulation, taping, mudding

Daily Log November 9, 2011

Who was on site
Larry, Bill, Dorothy, Marj, Bert, Chris, Pete and Vince (Project Manager).

What Happened
The drywall is progressing well, the boarding is nearing completion and full taping is
under way. I Believe The Last Piece Of Drywall Went On Upstairs Today.

We passed our inspection of the firewall insulation.
Great Northern Insulation Filled our Attic with insulation Wed. evening.

What next
Full on Mudding and Taping should be complete next week and off to prime. The flooring has been received at the re-store and moving to the build site on Monday The siding shipment has been a little slow in arriving, due to the company’s volume of sales this season.

Still Needed
The primer through Home Depot, shall be picked up early next week.

Volunteers
Many people have come together to keep this project moving forward, many thanks to you all.  Some more expertise would be helpful with the taping and mudding of the drywall. With some luck we will have Jesse back for extreme taping and mudding.

Further down the road
The siding team will get started as soon as the illusive siding colour is available.
The cement pads are now complete and the front stairs are started.

Materials/Tools
The drywall lift for ceilings has been returned. All tools required are on site.

Food and Drink
As per drywall schedule.
Many thanks to our food teams. Especially to Mary Grey of Gravenhurst who continues to go beyond all expectations.

Inspections
We are all up to date.

My thoughts
Thank you to all who helped to complete the ceiling board, not an easy task. Go team
*** Jesse is awesome at taping and teaching some tricks to our team of skilled regular volunteers. Thank you all who help with the seemingly endless list of little things, they all really count in the complete picture.
