Tubbing along

Daily Log October 13, 2011

Who was on site
Larry, Fred, Alex, Doug, Pete, Emily and myself (Vince)
As well as, Greenside electric performed the final tasks to get hydro.
John Dawson of John Dawson inc. Richard Dawson and Scott Marks (concrete).

What Happened
Plans changed quickly this morning with a call from a cement floor contractor who had the time today to donate his and his crew’s time for help with our remaining concrete work. We graciously accepted. As well the troop worked diligently on the ceilings and final tub framing and sudden cement prep.

What next
Veridian should be hooking up the hydro this week, with all in order.
Vapour barrier and Insulation started on the main floor ceilings.
Kitchen orders will be nailed down soon (no pun intended).

Still Needed
Kitchen finals, Paint colours and trim. We have finalized a kitchen contractor.

Volunteers
The usual suspects to start the ceilings on the main floor.

Further down the road

  • The siding team could get started
  • The cement pads can be poured outside
  • We could use some space somewhere to pre paint the trim

Materials/Tools
All good until we rent drywall lifts and screw guns, now rented and in use.

Food and Drink
As per drywall start up schedule.
Many thanx to our food teams.

My thoughts
It is amazing how people come through for us out of nowhere. As well how our troops instantly change from the plan and roll with sudden changes. Many THANX  to you all.
Thank you to Greenside electric.
A real big thanx to the crew from John Dawson inc. (Cement workers extraordinaire!)
