Ledger boards, joist hangers, block

Who Was On-Site?
Larry, Mike, Jim, Brian, Andy, DougP, Michael O’Grady (Project Manager)

What Happened?
Mike and DougP and Jim built some beautiful shelves in the big shed. I procured some stain and brushes for the staining of that shed. Larry finished securing the Ledger Boards and Mike installed the joist hangers. Brian and Andy continued laying block.

What Next?
Tuesday, August 2 – The Corrections Canada Crew is coming out for a hardy day’s work of installing the engineered floor joist system.
Wednesday, August 3 – Friday, August 5 –We will have resumed framing of the main structure.
Jesse Campbell of Jesse Campbell Construction has volunteered to bring in his crew and install the truss
roof system.

Monday, August 8 – Friday, August 12
Gravenhurst Plumbing and Greenside Electric will do the plumbing, electrical and heating rough-ins.
Bill Gee of Great Northern Insulation has volunteered to provide us the labour to install the insulation
which he will provide at cost. He will also provide the truck to blow in the attack insulation once the
drywall is installed.

8 Volunteers per day to complete framing and do site clean up

It does not seem likely the big company crews come out to do drywall installation. (They are booked for
later dates.)

My Thoughts
The morning was a wash out, but the afternoon was a success thanks to all the hard work and
dedication of our Volunteers.
