Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North is a non-profit, multifaith-based housing program. Habitat invites people from the broad spectrum of social, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds to work in partnership to build homes and hope with families in need.
The Sudbury, North Bay and Timmins branches of Habitat for Humanity have pooled their resources with groups in Muskoka. A new regional organization has been created called Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North.

Patty Parson's Build Daily Log
Date: Sept. 23
On Site: Frank J. Fraser Site Supervisor
Volunteers: Nan ( the Bala Timex ) Got us going in the morning. Mike Rollin, Peter Hemming, Ross LeMonnier( one of My Crew leaders from Mississauga Habitat) , Tom Neville, Jim Partridge, Ozzie Jarick.
Contractors: the plumber show up at 3 today to do a little work.
Daily Log: Nan (The Bala Timex) got us started. The day started off a little cool by late afternoon it started to rain. The inspector came in this morning we passed with just 2 deficiencies. That means we can start putting in the insulation tomorrow morning. We had a small turn out of 7 people. Ross & Ted worked on the backing for the stair railings and bathroom which are now finished. I had Peter working on side door header, Jim & Mike worked on the framing for the tub and the shower in 1014. Ozzie helped out were he could. I called for the insulation to be delivered in the morning but it wasn't delivered till after the big guy left figures. Great job guys .
Action / Follow up Items : finish deficiencies insulate the walls, vapor barrier
Next Day / Week Plan: Build frame for knee wall in basements Finish tyvek and foam on upper part of peek walls . 2 pieces of concrete left to do in front of 1014A Then onto insulation and dry wall. Additional framing for the roof that was missed.

Volunteer Requirements: lots of projects for Volunteers.
Materials / Tools : need Hammer drill and more drills for installation of framing for knee wall, concrete board, drills for drywall.
Inspections: inspected for the rough carpentry and fire block. "Passed" P.S., they always find something but not enough to stop us.
