Cool day but they kept plugging along!

Construction Daily Log, Patty Parsons Build

Date: September 14, 2010

On Site: Site Supervisor: Frank Fraser
Volunteers: It was a small group of regulars: Mike G., Bill N., Brian J., Jim P., Chris T, and Tom TEN. Brian McD and Nan got us going in the morning and checked on us through the afternoon.
Contractors: Corey and crew from A.D.A.M. Electric
Visitors: Not sure. I bugged out around 2 and I think Ellen was planning on coming by.

Daily Log: Sorry for the tardiness of this report.

The dry weather and shelter really dried things out in 1014. It was a cool summer day, but great for working. While the electrician worked on 1014, the rest of us tried to stay out of their way. 1014A was cleaned up and the stairs trimmed out. Basement wall bridging was done on 1014 and the ledger for the foundation cement board was put on. I skipped out around 3 pm, but my guess is that the others continued till about 4.

Action/Follow-Up Items:
  • Get HPN to rough-in plumbing
  • Get Port Heating to advise on chimney stacks
  • Get George Westerby to make up ledger flashing

Next Days/Week Plan:
Wed PM – Foundation boards. Drywall and insulation arrives.
Thursday – Basement step form, continue with foundation board

Volunteer Requirements: For the foreseeable future, we should be able to find work for a large crew. Lots of jobs.

Materials/Tools:

Inspections: Framing very soon
